Ms. Marva Khan

Ms. Marva Khan is an Assistant Professor of Practice at the Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law, Lahore University of Management Sciences. Courses she has taught include Introduction to Pakistan Legal System, Introduction to Legal Reasoning, Constitution (Comparative) Law, and Gender Advocacy Clinic.

Marva completed her B.A.-LL.B from LUMS, and her LL.M from Harvard Law School on the Fulbright Scholarship. She is also the founding member and Co-Editor of the LUMS Law Journal. During her time at Harvard, Marva also served as an Article Editor of the Harvard Human Rights Journal.

Marva has also taught at the Punjab Judicial Academy, served as the Vice President of the LUMS Law Alumni Association, and is currently the Director, Lahore Chapter, Harvard Club Pakistan.

Her areas of interest are constitutional law and human rights. Her research work entails analysis of the expanding jurisdiction of the Supreme Court of Pakistan under the salient features doctrine. She has also worked on the status of PWDs, and religious minorities in Pakistan. Other areas she has worked on include the changing gender dynamics; freedom of expression; state, security, and the national action plan; illegal migration out of Pakistan; and the rights and limitations under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016.
