Ms. Saqi is a socio-legal researcher with 7 years’ experience of field research. She gained her professional experience through a demonstrated background of working with the Tea workers’ community, apparel industry especially Readymade Garments (RMG) sector workers’ rights, Harijan (Untouchable) community and Hijra (Transgender) community in Bangladesh. She has also published a number of articles on the same. Ms. Saqi has also worked as a research associate in a number of State party reports that has been submitted to the UN Treaty Bodies. She is skilled in legal writing, report writing, in-field research management and lecturing. She has a Master’s Degree specialized in Comparative Law from McGill University, Canada. Currently she is working as a Lecturer of Law with University of Asia Pacific, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
