Resume of Jahidul Islam

Jahidul Islam is a law student from Jahangirnagar University. He has been working with Ain O Salish Kendra (ASK), a leading human rights organisation in Bangladesh, as a Contributing Feature Writer for more than 2 years. He has written articles on many contemporary issues in Bangladesh e.g: Narcotics Law, the disputed Digital Security Act, Gender Biased Parents’ Maintainance Act etc. In the Law School, he has been working as a Mooter; been awarded as the Best Mooter-2019. Also, represented his law school in many national competitions.

He has published two Research Papers in the SCLS Law Review, a renown student-run journal of Bangladesh. One was analysing the 2019 Mob Lynching Incidents in Bangladesh. The other was scrutinising the Due Process Fallacy under Crossfire Populism that has become prominent in last few years. He has also worked on a paper related to Medical Malpractice in Bangladesh that is under consideration for South Asian Law Review of BiLD.
 
Mr Islam has been involved in other leadership activities as well. He has worked as Vice-President (Publication) of NILS (Network for International Law Student) chapter of his law school; currently working as Assistant Organising Secretary of the JULS Writing Club. From the club, Mr Islam and the team has started publication of a half-yearly bulletin that publishes writeups and legal thoughts of the law students from all over the country.
